Hello Creatives.... Happy Hump Day-!!
I love these new stencils by Jill K. Berry. OH MY. I think why I like them is that they can be used in so many ways.... You know there are words there. But just not quite sure what it is. This keeps me coming back. I guess I am just curious.
Have you used Golden Glass Bead Medium...? Maybe you have seen it and did not know what to do with it? I love the way the light picks up any iridescence.
This journal page is about embarking on a time of year that is always reflective. What was, what will be and what I would like to see in the future.
What you will need:
- Artistcellar Stencils (Textures Two Series)
- Paper
- Silks Acrylic Paint in Fern and African Jade
- Foam Brush
- Golden Glass Bead Gel
- Palette Knife
- Spray Mists. (Tattered Angels Dark Denim and Ranger Perfect Pearls Turquoise)
- Indian Ink
- Quill Pen
- Heat Tool
Step 1: Add Silks to paper with a foam brush. Let Dry.
Step 2: Place Stencil onto painted paper and with the Palette Knife add the Golden Glass Gel Medium over the stencil. Let Dry all the way.
Step 3: Add spray mists to the page. I started with Ranger Perfect Pearls then moved to Tattered Angels Dark Denim. The dark helps make the colors pop off the page as well it soaks into the spaces between the beads and helps illuminate your work. Finish with another spray of Ranger Perfect Pearls.
Step 4: Journal on side of page in indian ink and quil pen. Then add some drips to the page to enhance the moody-ness of the work.
Step5: ENJOY-!
Much Love and Kindness to you this Holiday Season.
