Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

Stampotique SDC63: Color Challenge Eggplant Hues

Hello There, Sarinda here and I will be hosting this go around at Stampotique Designers Challenge. I use Design Seeds blog (((For all who love color))) I use them for inspiration all the time and wanted to share this with you. This is where it all starts for me, it’s in the color. Whether it in my journal, glass art or stamping I love to play with color.

When I chose this as my theme, I was not sure what I was going to make.  All I knew is that I loved the warm and cool hues together, something exciting for my eyes. I have always created jewelry and started out my art business that way and obviously to morphed into something very different. Regardless- I miss it and wanted to make something to wear to a gallery opening a few weeks back. So here we are.

I hope you find some fun in thinking outside the box with this challenge. Just play and see where it takes you. Wishing you a very creative day even if it is only in your minds eye. Be sure to head over to the Stampotique Designers Blog to see more of the DT creations, they are worth a look.

Please remember we are now doing weekly challenges so you will have until Tuesday, 9/4/12 to link up go to Stampotique Designers Blog an use Inlinkz to play along for your chance to win.  All winners from the challenges from the month will have a chance to win, we will randomly draw 2 winners for a $30 gift certificate for Stampotique stamps.

New Jewelry in Etsy Shop....

Hello Crafties....
I wanted to share a new creation that I have made for my Etsy Jewelry shop, Podds.
Desert Willow Necklace.

I started out 17 years ago with my business thinking that jewelry was the direction I needed to go. Well- then my glass art took off. Who knows how ones life can turn out.

Regardless of all of that.
I still get a lot of folks interested in my jewels
from way back and ask where can they find them.
So- I have decided to reopen my Podds jewelery shop.

However- this will just have my glass sculpture.

Hope you are enjoying your day!
Warmly-
Sarinda

Mini Journal.... Carpe Diem

Hi and Happy Saturday to you.

Here is another sample of my mini journal pages to remind me to Seize the Moment.

The Fortune says:
"If you wait too long for the perfect moment.
The perfect moment will pass you by."

So often I get my brain involved with decisions that should not be there. Most of the time it should be a knee jerk reaction, whether you jump in or stay out. There is also a mathematical formula for Seize the Moment... The Formula for the kth central moment of data. That is also added to the page.

Even if it is Seizing the moment is in the Hammock today, DO it.

CAS-uel Fridays: Square Cards

Stampotique is sponsoring this week CAS-uel Fridays Challenge with the theme Square Cards.

Whisker Monster with Sign.
 and

Watercolor card on Yupo Paper

I really enjoy color.... If you have not noticed by now. Smiles.

One of my most enjoyable apt applications is to just put watercolor down on a page and just play. See all the different color combinations. I have pages and pages of these. Yupo paper is so fun to work with as a watercolorists. Well- Some don't like it. But I love it.

After laying down the colors I take a Pit pen and outline the most obvious lines in the painting. Then I cut it up.... This is a great way to get color inspirations. I also saw that Yupo is making a transparent sheet as well. I just ordered some so I will show you that as soon as I get my hands on it.

Happy Friday to you.

Mini Journal.... Lurking-!

Happy Thursday to you....
Again, I have to say I love the mini journal pages.
As of late I have been having restless sleeping patterns.
Just a lot of creative swirling in the brain.

Here I used Stampotique Originals Stamps....

The mermaid is...

 and octopus is...

Also there is a faint swirl pattern in the upper 3/4 of the page stamped in white. Done with

I first prepped my backgroundd with Gesso and added some texture by squishing that pages together then quickly opening them again. Try it sometime it is always different. Then I used acrylic paints and water for the background. Drawing in the sea plants with Pitt pens and colored with Copic markers. Stamped Smushallaum onto white paper and also colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out. Re-stamped her onto my page to add the detail the glued her on top of the stamped image. Same with Octopet. Added highlights to the page with geliroller pens and a stenciled image from Crafters Workshop.

Warmly-
Sarinda

Mini Mixed Media Journal

Mini Journal Cover.
Stamp used.... Birds and Bugs Cube

Mini Journal Detail

Mini Journal Pages 1 & 2
I have been thinking a lot about the left and right hemispheres of our brains.
Some days the left side of my brain and "it's board of director"s stand in my way of creating. I was definitely feeling that way today. I feel much better now.

Stamp used.... Heads
Mini Journal the start of Pages 3 & 4

Happy Monday to all you Crafties.....

I have been wanting to share some of my jounaling pages with you. Yet- still I feel kind of an open book..... Ha HA.

At any rate here I saw an article in Art Jounaling (Front Page) of a DT Member friend with Stampotique.... Kate Crane. I have loved her bright pages for sometime now and to see her front and center warmed my cockles for her.

The article is about Art Jounaling in Miniature.
OH my this is huge answer for me. It has been my goal to do a full page a day. And I feel I have bitten off more than I can chew. But doing a Mini journal is a wonderful Idea... Plus I can easily take it anywhere. I ran down to the art store and purchased my favorite Moleskin mini books... the kind with the Kraft paper front and back. Then started taping and gessoing.

I will share more as I go... Thanks for checking in.
I love to hear your comments... so don't be shy.
