Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

Copic Certification.

Well, I had a Wow kind of a day.

I have to say that I stand amazed with Copic as a company. Very much giving of information and talents. A breath of fresh air if you will.

My head is still spinning with all the fun. We already learned so much from this one day of class and I still have a full day tomorrow. YEAH. Copic has the kindest and most talented instructors. Marianne Walker is a very talented illustrator and kind educator. It is important to her to have her students have the light go on above their head. (Right up my ally) yeah for new friends. Right?
I also love her blog. Www.ILikeMarkers.blogspot.com

Hope you have plans this weekend to create something this weekend. More to come tomorrow.

SDC102: It's Clear To Me

SDC102: It's Clear to Me

Stampotique Designer's Challenge Day-!
The Amazing Libby is challenging us to use something clear in our works.
We are working with Clear or Transparent elements (Perspes, acetate, glass etc in any form large or small)

So- I sandwiched sequence between an alcohol ink Yupo velum sheet and clear acetate. To give the fish bubbles. I guess this would make a great tag for a gift or even a window element. After I did this project I had a bunch of ideas of doing winged elements stamped on clear... Just an idea for you. I can't use them all. lol

Hope you will come a play along with us. You could be the lucky winner of some Stampotique Stamps!!!

Here is what I used:

Fotobella.com My Mind's Eye Remarkable Collection.

 Hello Lovelies....

I have a background tutorial for you using My Mind's Eye Remarkable Collection and Tim Holtz technique Dabber Resist from his "A Compendium of Curiosities" book.

This is an easy way to get color onto a tag and to use those great stamps in the collection. Then just use embellishments to decorate. So Fun.

Step 1: Pull out your tag, stamps, White Dabber Paint, Distressed ink and blending tools.

Pick out your stamps that you like use an acrylic block add the white paint to the stamp.
Randomly add the stamps to your tag. Be sure not to press too hard ad it will distort the image.
 Heat set.
Step 2: Adding distress ink to the tag. I am using a seasonal pack and walnut stain for the edges.
Here is how that tag looks with just the seasonal pack of Distress ink.
This is with Walnut Stain on the edges.
Take a damp cloth to remove the color from the white paint resist.
 Step 3: Embellishments-!
Find the Washi tape in green in your bundle.
Fold it over and stick the sticky sides together.

Slip the tape through the tag hole. Punch a hole in the tape and add the brad to the tape.
Find the enamel dots and add them to the centers of the stamped images.
Using the chipboard "Date" piece add it to the tage right under the brad.
Add the multi layered sticker "How Sweet it is to be loved by you" right under the "Date" Chipboard.
Then add "This way for fun" and "Tolken 5 Value" to bottom of tag.

Congrats-! You have created a fun tag for a gift or a bottle of wine.
Wishing you a wonderful Day.

Warmly-
Sarinda

Tim Holtz May 2013 tag...

Hello Crafties...

Here is my entry for Tim Holtz May tag...

What I did different here is that I started out by stamping the dragonfly image onto the tag. Then I colored it with distress markers, dried with heat gun. Then I took an embossing ink pen and drew over the dragonfly. Then I used clear embossing power and holographic glitter and set with heat tool. Then I carried on with Tim's instructions on this tag. Unfortunately- I was not able to find the rub ons.

Hope you have time to play along with Tim's challenge. I know I had fun.

SDC101: Text Paper....

Hello Crafties....

Today is Stampotique Designer's Challenge day-!!! And I am hosting. I love using text in my work it is a fun way to get texture without a whole lot of work. With that I have a background tutorial for you to try.

Here is what you will need:

Artistcellar Playful Pods Stencils
Text Paper
Gel Medium
Pallet Knife
Tim Holtz Distress Paints in Weathered Wood, Bundled Sage, Broken China, Mustard Seed
Water in spray bottle
Heat Gun
Tim Holtz Distress in Broken China, Walnut Stain, Rusty Hinge
Tim Holtz Blending Tool
Pitt Pens
Stampotique Stamps
Copic Markers
Tsuineko Brilliance Ink pad Graphite Black
Card stock
Paper trimmer
Scissors
Prima Sunset Sunrise Brads
Plastic domed pellets from the hobby store found in the floral section
Glossy Accents glue
Pop Up tape

Step 1: I am using some brand new stencils from Artistcellar that are a signature series by Chris Cozen. Titled Playful Pods Series. I used Bodacious Pods Stencil below.

Step 2: Lay your stencil onto the text paper and spread the gel medium onto the stencil.

Step 3: Let gel medium dry. It will have a shine and will be clear.

Step4: Spray your text paper with water and dab the Distress Paint onto your page

Spray with more water and let run and bleed. I will pick up my paper and move the paint around.

Dry with heat gun. You can use a towel to dab up excess paint.

Step 5: Ink with Distress Inks and blending tool to add more depth.

Step 6: Outline pods with Pitt Pen in size S.

Step 7: Cut out desired card stock for a mat and card Adhere layers together.

Step 8: Stamp Stampotique Stamps onto white card stock with TSUKINEKO Brilliance Graphite Black Ink Pad. Color with Copic Markers and fussy cut out. Use some pop up tape place onto card front. I also used these plastic domed pellets on the eyes of Bat Boy. Makes him look like he is wearing thick glasses.
