Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

SDC81: Dear Diary

 Hello Crafties....

Hoping you are enjoying your NEW YEAR.

Stampotique Designer Challenge  is wanting us to play
in the current challenge.... SDC81: Dear Diary.

This challenge has a lot of wiggle room by using some application of the listed below.
Calendar pages, journal covers or pages, diaries, etc...

I used my Mini Journal.
After the rush of the Holidays I was feeling a bit run down.
So- this was a tribute to good friends who let you rest awhile.

What I did:
Gessoed the background to add texture and prime surface of page. Then using Tim Holtz Distress stains and water to create the color on the background. Torn book pages and paste to bottom of page. Stamped Snowflake stamp onto background with white opaque ink then added Ranger Perfect Pearls to some of the snowflakes. Stamped images of Fran and the little bird onto the book paper and colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out. Stamped Sediment onto white card stock the teared the edges to look like a cloud. Stamped images of Fran and bird onto the journal pages and glued others on top of stamped images. Made flag and glued down added finishing touches of highlights to the show with Copic markers and prisma glitter glue to Fran and snow. Date Stamped.

Here are the stamps that I used:

SDC81: Dear Diary

Happy New Year!  Stampotique is thrilled to start off 2013 with the start of another successful year of challenges.  We will continue to do weekly challenges this year with random winners chosen on the first challenge of the month for all those that participated throughout the month.

First, we want to take a few minutes to express our gratitude for our customers as well as all our fans.  We would not be here today if it wasn't for all those that love Stampotique and are there to support us.  Our Design Team is one of the greatest teams and we appreciate all that they do for Stampotique creating unique designs each week to share.

We bid two of our long time designers farewell in 2013, Kate Crane and Jo Capper-Sandon will be missed on our team, but we know we'll continue to see some fabulous designs from them using Stampotique.  We made the tough decision not to replace these two fantastic designers, but we do look forward to sharing 11 new guest designers with you this year.  You can see our first one, Kristen Catalano here and read more about her.

So, to kick off 2013 Stampotique is challenging you to create a Journal Cover or Page, Diary Page or Calendar page.
