Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

Stampotique Design Challenge SDC67: Squares

So way back when I was younger (lol) I loved to make cards for my friends.
Nothing unusual about that, right? We all most likely have that story.

Well- Funny looking back on it.
I would spend a lot of time thinking about compartments to my creations. (Still do)
Such as windows, interactive components, pockets and what not.
This would and does make my heart sing out loud.
I still think that many of us enjoyed these things as a child
and that is why we still do these things today.
You get the point....

Later- I was told from my peers that it was too much time spent on silly things
and that it was taking time away from my time with my art. A distraction so to speak.
(NOT My Mom and Dad they always encouraged me)
I do have a resolve to my rant.... Just a second-!

So-  now that I have a glass studio, a painting studio and a crafting studio in my adult life.
(So lucky)
I strongly suggest that you create whatever makes your heart sings.
 REGARDLESS of
what you think your peers will say or not say.

That kind of heart singing does not come from many things in this lifetime.
SO if you can give your heart some delight, then why not?

I give you permission to PLAY-!!!

Hope you can play along with us at the Stampotique Challenge this week.
Thanks for listening to my rant.
Enjoy-!

Have A Wicked Halloween....

Ohhh.... It is almost time to decorate the house and garden for Halloween.

Do I dare say that I love this holiday.

Here is a creation that I made for some girlfriends for card night a few weeks back.
I used a Tim Holtz Stamp for the skull and the Wallpaper stamp for the background.
And the sediment was from Close to My Heart.

SO what I did for the background....

What you will need:

Black card stock
Manila card stock
Distress stain in Fired Brick, Barn Door and Aged Mahogany
Water in spray bottle
Heat gun
Tim Holtz Stamps Skull and Wallpaper
Close to my Heart stamp "Have a Wicked Halloween"
Distressing tool Prima
Blending tool Tim Holtz
Distress inks in Black Soot, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain
Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy ((LOVE THIS STUFF))
Crackle Accents
Glossy Accents
Ranger Perfect Medium
Black Embossing powder
Liquid Pearls in Onyx Pearl
Googlie Eyes
Silhouette Cameo
Creative Impressions Web Ribbon in black
Dimensional tape
Black or Brown Flower
Skeleton Hand or Part
Black Bling

Step 1:
I used Ranger Manila 12"x12" card stock, wet down the card stock with water
and used distress stains in Fired Brick, Barn Door and Aged Mahogany. Then let drip and spread out. Heat gun.

Step 2:
Used Tim's Wallpaper stamp as a background with distress ink in Black Soot and Walnut Stain. Over the whole sheet. Heat gun and cut up into 3 7/8"x 4 7/8". Distressed the edges of the paper with Prima's Distressing tool then took the blending tool and Walnut Stain to the edges. Heat Gun.

Step 3:
A liberal amount of Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy of surface of the card stock and rubbed in with my finger to get a look of streaked wall paper. Let dry naturally.

Step 4:
Ranger Crackle Accents on the top two corners and about an inch wide width along bottom edge. Let dry naturally. This is important to do this step your crackle will look better.

Step 5:
Stamp skull image onto white card stock. Using Blending tool and Distress ink in Antique Linen around the edge of circle cut out. About 2" circle. Glue GOOGLIE eyes to the eye sockets with Glossy Accents.

Step 6:
Cut out on Silhouette frame in black card stock, inside circle is 2" Then using Liquid Pearls by Ranger in onyx Pearl dot the edge of cut out. Glue frame to skull. Also cut out on Silhouette cut out the easel back to the card in black card stock as well.

Step 7:
Using Creative Impressions Web Ribbon adhere to the front of the card about 1" from bottom of background. Then using dimensional tape the skull frame top top portion of card. Cut 4"x 5" black card stock and glue the background to the black base.

Step 8:
Using Ranger Perfect Medium and "Have a Wicked Halloween" Stamp onto the easel cut out and use embossing powder in black heat gun. Then glue the easel back onto the back of the base front card.

Step 9:
Black or brown flower adhere to the right side front add the skeleton hand just underneath with beacon 3 in 1 glue. Add Bling jewels to the bottom right corner.

SDC66: Stampotique Party Favors

is challenging us to create a small favor for a
party, lunch or birthday party.
I enjoy making these for just because reasons or I love you.

This one is for a congrats of a job well done and to celebrate the promotion.

I used stampotique stamp Hung OutTo Dry for the center of the flower. The flower is a Prima flower (innocence 2) with the center removed and added pool acrylic paint. Then hand drawn a chevron pattern onto kraft card stock.
I love the look of drawn doodles that are added to scraping.
Sizzix die pillow box.
Simple-Simple

Enjoy!!!!

New Jewelry Bench...

Hello and Happy Sunday to you.

I wanted to share a new jewelry set up I have now in my crafting studio.
Still some work to be done.... But I love it.
Huge thanks to my Aaron in drilling the holes for the shelving.
I do love me some books.
Also-I love to look at other artist studios and how they are set up.

It is getting to be the witching hour for the holiday season and
I do a lot of jewelry for that time of year.
Why the Change???
Comfort-!!!
I had my set up in the glass studio and found that
Being out in the glass studio all day,
I needed a change in scenery.

I still have my torch and enameling stations there in the glass factory.
But this is going to be very welcome change as the seasons are about to change,
this is a warmer space.
Enjoy-!!!

Mushies

These guys came from my yard....
I love the delicate texture of mushrooms.
Simply beautiful and Mysterious .
I have always been attracted to the idea of how people found out
about the ones to eat and the ones not to eat.
Trial and error does not seem the best option on these kinds of things.

Still trying to figure out how to replicate them into a glass artwork.

Hoo Hoo Gift Package

I have been in a giving mood as of late-!
Sharing the love,  I guess.

The words on the flag says
"This little hoo hoo belongs to me, okay?"

I made the box on my Silhouette.
I made the key chain out of shrink plastic that has the rough surface, a bit of tooth.
Stamped on the smooth side with StazOn. Then
took my colored pencils and colored in the back side.
Punched a normal size hole punch on top of each.
Then used my heat tool to shrink them up.

I am so in love with the new Stampotique stamps... and
apparently the word on the street is I am not the
only one. A little bird told me.

Stamps I used:

Enjoy-!
