Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

Drawing With The Crafter's Workshop Stencils

DrawWStencils
Hello Hello Hello.
Sarinda here with a watercolor journal entry using TCW Stencils. I enjoy using stencils to get my creative inspiration going. Be creative with the interior line work as well add some additional lines around the outside of each drawing for interest.
Using TCW2048 Maple Leaf Frags, TCW2044 Pods Fragments, TCW2043 Poppy Fragments. The line work was done with Copic Markers Multi Liner 0.3 Fine & 0.03 Really Fine.

Out line the stencils with the 0.03 Copic Pen. Then add in the inside line work and additional outside lines.

The thicker lines in the Poppy were made with the Copic pen 0.3.

Then just add color with watercolors of your choice. I like to go outside the lines and let the colors bleed together. The less perfect the better.

Jewelry: Mini Journal Necklace

TCWjewelryTeaser
Hello Creatives-
I have a jewelry project for you using Letter press Paper, TCW Stencil as an embossing plate to make a Mini Journal Necklace.
I used my Sig Shot machine from Sizzix and the black rubber pad to make a deeper embossing impression. Using thicker card stock or Letter Press paper will lend the best results. Do the suggested stack for the machine that you are using.

I cut out the section that I liked used Distress Ink pad to add some color. Then added additional sheets of paper to the center. Punched two holes on the top, threaded steel wire and made a loop on each side.
String beads, crystals and chain from those loops to create the chain. I made this necklace long so that I did not have to worry about a clasp it just slips over your head.IMG_8766 IMG_8765
Hope this will spark some creative juices in your own studios.

 IMG_8632
Hello There Creatives.
Here is a simple way to use your TCW Stencils and create a fun art project.
I used my alcohol inks on a polypropylene paper known as Yupo. Make sure the ink is completely dry. Then using my favorite pen ever, Faber Castell Pitt pen in "S" Size and The Crafter's Workshop stencil TCW493S. Just outline, color in and add line work to the center details. Frame and hang. Really it is that simple.
The stencil I used. TCW493S

The Crafters Workshop Die Cuts.....

 Hello Artists-

I wanted to show you TCW Dies... I am LOVING these little gems. I wanted to show you how to make a quick fun Birthday Card with the dies. Really Quick and easy.

Plus it is my Birthday today and what better way to celebrate?!!!!

Step 1
Cut out a card blank in white paper. Then apply Pan Pastels with application in a diagonal across the page. I used an orange, pink, pale green and dark green. Be sure to round the corners of the card.

 Step 2
Use TCW1011 and cut a die out of gray paper.

Step 3
Attach the die cut gray paper to the top of the Pan Pastel sheet with 3D tape.
Step 4
Make a banner tag out of orange card stock. Stamp  STAMPOTIQUE Stamps "Happy Birthday" with Black ink and edge with Prima's Dark Bark Chalk Edger. Add to the front of the card with 3D tape.

Step 5
Cut out TCW Today TCW1034 in white card stock. Glue to the top of the banner tag. Then add an embellishment to the upper right corner. I used Prima's Wood Embellishments from the Cartographer collection.

Thank you so much for stopping in. My wish for you today is to be creative even if it is only in your minds eye.

Much Love.

Kilnformed Glass Using The Crafters' Workshop Stencils

Hello Creative Peeps.....

I am beyond excited to bring you my first tutorial with The Crafters Workshop Design Team.  Have you noticed all the amazing talent we have here? This makes me do the Happy Crazy Bunny Dance....

How do you use TCW stencils with fused glass art? I am a full time glass artist by day and a paper lover by night.  I could not think of a better way to show you my passion. Kiln- Formed (Fused) glass art. There are so many ways to use TCW products artistically. Just requires to think outside the box.

Note: This is a very brief description of the kiln formed process and requires many more steps that I did not go into here.

Here we go.

Step 1: Making the glass part sheets.
Using a sheet of Bullseye French Vanilla glass, Bullseye powered black accessory glass and a sifter. Lay TCW Subway Stencil on top of the french vanilla glass and sprinkle the black power over the top. Carefully lift stencil and place into the kiln for firing.

TCW343 Subway Stencil

Step 2:
Cut the pre-fired  part sheets into 1/2" strips.

What the part sheets looked like after first firing.
Part sheets cut up.

Step 3:
Arrange the strips of glass in a pleasing manner.

Add clear glass to the top of the strip cut glass. Then next to that add a sheet of white glass and on top of the white add Oregon Gray transparent glass. Make sure the glass is really clean as whatever is on the surface will fire into the glass.

Now it is ready for a full fuse firing in the kiln. This process will take approximately 15 hours to ramp up to 1490 degrees and cool down to room temperature.

Step 4:
Add the lacy pre-fired powder glass to the surface. Fire the glass art at a tack fuse firing, Approximately 1350 degrees. Another 15 hours in the kiln.

Step 5:
Add a mounting system onto the back of the glass to hang on your wall. ENJOY.

Take care and thank you for stopping by.
Warmly-
Sarinda
